In this new series of photographs, Erica Baum explores both the poetic and the painterly qualities of photography by shooting vintage paperbacks from the mid-20th Century with their pages fanned open to reveal fragmented and beautiful narratives in strips of color, image, and text. Her work is complemented by a selection of poems by ubuweb.com founder Kenneth Goldsmith.
